About the presenter: Jeanne Williams is a Registered Psychologist and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor who works with children, parents and other caregivers. She specialises in helping families to enhance parent-child relationships, and in working with children and youth with challenging behaviours. Jeanne has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses for Colorado Christian University, Denver Seminary, and Taylor University College and Seminary, and has conducted workshops for the Alberta Children’s Trauma Centre. Jeanne has a Master of Arts in Counselling from Denver Seminary, and a doctorate in psychology (Psy.D) from California Southern University. She has has conducted lectures on Trauma and Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS) in Jamaica in 2017 and 2018.
About the Seminar Series: Following positive feedback from previous training events, these seminars will give up to date information combined with guidelines for practical application. Participants will learn about attachment theory, trauma, what affects a child’s brain and the resulting behaviour patterns, what children need from the adults in their life, and an introduction to Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS).
‘Working with Children’ is for ALL those who work with children, whether as parents, teachers, guidance counsellors, camp counsellors, church children’s ministry leaders, sports coaches etc. etc.
